Dzwonek skupiony - oprócz gatunku w uprawie znajdują się odmiany, różniące się wysokością i kolorem kwiatów. Gatunek osiąga 50 cm wysokości, natomiast odmiany od 20-60 cm. Roślina rozrasta się niezbyt silnie dzięki podziemnym rozłogom. Liście odziomkowe ogonkowe oraz liście łodygowe siedzące, pokryte są ostrymi ciemnofioletowymi włoskami. Dzwonkowate, miododajne kwiaty osadzone w kątach górnych liści zebrane są w gęste, główkowate kwiatostany. Od czerwca do sierpnia dzwonek skupiony pokrywa się białymi lub ciemnofioletowymi kwiatami. Znany i lubiany dzwonek, często sadzony na rabatach i w ogrodach skalnych. Preferuje stanowiska ciepłe i nasłonecznione. Jeśli chodzi o glebę to najlepsze wyniki uzyskuje się na podłożu suchym lub średnio wilgotnym. Bylina poradzi sobie nawet na glebie bardzo ubogiej, nie zniesie natomiast zastoisk wodnych.
